Scott Royal
Associate Partner
Scott joined Local Dialogue as a Leeds-based Account Director at the beginning of 2007, bringing with him considerable national and local communications experience.
Scott started his career in 1995 as a Parliamentary Researcher for Labour MPs Clive Betts and Thomas McAvoy. After the 1997 General Election, Scott joined Arts Council England where he led the National Public Affairs team for seven years, playing a significant role in making the case to Government for increased arts funding. During this period he gained considerable experience of working with MPs, providing evidence to Parliamentary Select Committees, and organising corporate attendance at political party conferences.
Immediately prior to joining Local Dialogue, Scott held a number of senior communications roles including Public Affairs Manager of the Food Standards Agency and Communications Manager at the Department of Work & Pensions.
Scott leads the communications and consultation for Sainsbury’s store extensions in the North West, North East, Yorkshire and Humber and North Wales. Project successes include successfully supporting proposals to bring the largest M&S store outside of London to Cheshire Oaks, Ellesmere Port and major employment schemes on behalf of ProLogis in Bradford and Lichfield.
